On 29 August 2019, a conference was organised where project objectives, activities and results were presented. The Municipality of Čoka is implementing the project with the Municipality of Deta in Romania during the following 12 months. These objectives will be achieved through the organisation of a number of intensive trainings and the establishment of two fully equipped regional employment centres, one in Čoka and one in Deta. The general project objectives are:
- Promote opportunities for hard-to-employ categories in rural areas of Serbia and Romania (young people without university education, people over 50, people with disabilities) to create new jobs using IT technologies.
- Create preconditions for employment opportunities in rural areas through creating services to encourage employment, professional development and entrepreneurial initiatives.
Intensive trainings will cover English language in three levels (beginners, intermediate, advanced), basics of computer work (Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet), Web design, Web developing, new jobs in IT industry (bloggers, youtubers...),honey production, wine production, how to start your own business, how to find a job in IT industry. The trainings will be held in Čoka, in the established centre, and the trainees can be unemployed people, people with special needs, youth, elderly hard-to-employ people, and all other who think that this new knowledge could help them find a new job, or make their current work easier or ensure advancement in their career. The plan is to train at least 140 trainees.
The centre will be equipped with new furniture and computers, and a van will be procured under the project for the transport of the trainees coming from the villages near Čoka who are otherwise not able to come to Čoka to attend the trainings.
Acquiring new knowledge in the mentioned fields, especially in Web developing and design, will help both the young and elderly to find a job in their own field in which income are substantially higher than the average. You will be able to stay in your hometown and work from home and have a nice life, without thinking of moving abroad. All you need for starting this job is knowledge and a computer of medium performances. Wine and honey production trainings will ensure an intensive honey and wine production which used to be traditional in the territory of the Municipality of Čoka.
All those who are interested will be able to contact us by phone or e-mail, and they will get all the necessary information about the trainings. The number of trainees is limited. It will be our pleasure to have you in the realisation of the project and acquisition of new knowledge which will help you find employment more easily and be present on the labour market.
